NANBF - North American Natural Bodybuilding Federation, 1994-

The NANBF was established by Michael Smith of Colorado. Smith promoted with the North American Natural Bodybuilding Association (NANBA) prior to establishing the NANBF. Scot Dickerson of Iowa, Dave Cammon of Michigan and Todd Mills of Nebraska took over operation of the federation in 1996. Cammon had also promoted with the NANBA prior to 1994. The Natural Universe was established as the top title for the NANBF and was held from 1994 through 1998. The NANBF moved to being seven-years drug-free when it formed an affiliation with the World Natural Bodybuilding Federation (WNBF) in 1999. The title of Natural Universe was ceased after the 1998 season and the Natural USA became the new top title for the NANBF starting in 1999. In 2006 Fred Rowlett of Kansas, Ryan Irwin of Iowa and Dave Yeates of Illinois assumed operations for the federation.
